8th December - Annual Candlelight Rosary Procession
The 43rd Annual Candlelight Rosary Procession organised by the Fatima Apostolate will leave the Parade, Kilkenny City at 8pm on Thursday 8th December. This annual act of public honour to Our Blessed Mother has always taken place on the Feast of the Immaculate Conception. It proceeds through the streets of the city, ending at the old Dominican church, the Black Abbey, for Benediction of the Most Blessed Sacrament. We would invite all of you to attend this procession and to give glory to the Holy Virgin Mary as we recite the Holy Rosary whilst walking through the streets. Enrolments in the Brown Scapular will also take place in the Black Abbey after Benediction. Candles will be available at the Parade before the public procession begins.
